November 2023: I've been writing this since October and it's almost December so now should be a good time to finally finish it. Now for a section I'm calling Kanye's samples are sometimes just better than his songs. For example Kanye's Bound 2 sampled Bound by The Ponderosa Twins Plus One they popped up in the 1970s from Cleveland. This song has also been sampled by Tyler the Creator in A BOY IS a GUN one of the hits off of his album. Anyway, enough of that I highly recommend this song it's another 70s almost Jackson 5 (In the most basic way) sounding song.
New Blue Sun, Mr. 3000 is probably one of the best artists of the past three generations. He made some of the best collaborations with artists throughout his prolonged break from making albums. To nobody's surprise, it's different from his other stuff and is essentially him just fucking around with flutes, some good drums, some Vangelis synths, and a little sampling from the real world. God this album is just incredible unless you're opposed to more ambient almost Ghost in the Shell-inspired music. I highly recommend it and if you can listen to the end your attention span is doing well because it seems half of the people that begin the album can't even make it to the end.
Goodbye by toe is something I stumbled upon with their "stop-motion" music video. This song is incredibly simple, but has some more complex drums and a very calming sound even though from my listening it's about anxiety and even goes into what I believe is Agoraphobia. Without many lyrics, it discusses a mania in society that the writer wants to escape either by isolating or by just being silent in general society. Most of this is me trying to interpret this through broken English with some very strange grammatical choices so I may be somewhat wrong. I think this song is a great comfort for me a lot of the time because the drums and guitar are just overwhelming enough to drown out background noise, but not enough to make me feel anxious. It's not too long so I'd recommend giving a listen even though many still only try to listen to songs that are a minute to two minutes.
How Bizarre by OMC has recently come back into my life and how its instrumentals still bring me in. I'm not going to write much else about this, but I must say I'm hoping his family is still doing well after his passing.
Anatolia by Feed Me Jack is just incredible and dear god I hope other people listen to it. While I desperately want to write an entire paper on it right now I can only say it's one of the most engrossing albums I've listened to and has grown on me every listen. I'm so sad whenever I think about how this band broke up splitting off into three separate acts with the primary one being Still Woozy who luckily found a lot of success. Here is hoping that eventually, they'll come back to play, because I want to go to one of their concerts. Open is still what I try to listen to if I'm looking for something to pick out, but this album really must be listened to as a whole. I also recommend their other albums to an unhealthy degree as you can see the evolution of the band in at least two years as not much was released before 2015, at least on Spotify. This is a warning to any who are friends or family with me in person if you have the opportunity and haven't listened to this album I will be hunting you from now on.
BIG WARNING DO NOT PLAY THROUGH THE WEB IT IS VERY LOUD.
